Autumn in Warragul

Autumn in Warragul
As of this writing, the first month of autumn here in the southern hemisphere is almost over, and I admit that time truly flies so fast. The trees in our front yard are starting to change their colors, and hundreds of cockatoos are back eating all the nuts up from the trees, which makes a lot of mess.

A natural mess, which I reckon is a part of the natural life cycle.

The weather is still mildly cool, sometimes humid. However, autumn is still my favorite season as I can start wearing my warmer clothes, and feel more comfortable even outdoors.

It was been a quite busy week for me lately working on my crafting, upcycling clothes which I love, working on this blog, visiting a few places, and during the weekends I’m working in my local charity shops. Working as a volunteer at Vinnies is an amazing experience, and I enjoyed working together with smart, and wiser ladies.

How about you? What makes you busy recently?

Meanwhile, here’s my OOTD wearing one of my favorite oversized blazers and sporting hoodie.

These pieces are both menswear, but for some reason, I discovered a way that I could enjoy these pieces for my personal style, and mix-and-match with my girly flirty pieces.

This ensemble looks very comfortable, and hip for the streetwear style.

PS. Wearing this Hawthorn sports hoodie has nothing to do with me being a sports fanatic. Full disclosure – I’m not a footy fan, and I only like this hoodie because of its good-quality fabric and silhouette.

The oversized blazer is very utilitarian, they often use high-quality textiles, and the craftsmanship is impeccable. The one I’m wearing is made by a local tailor from Melbourne, and getting a brand new suit is very expensive. That’s why getting this blazer from the op-shop for $8.00 is a sweet deal. These tall black boots (Diana Ferrari) are also from the op-shop.

As of this writing, I have 6 men’s blazers in my closet, all oversized and I love them all.

My personal style changes and it depends on my mood of the day. One time I wear ruffles, the next time I wear a boxy blazer, and tights!

The most important is I enjoy every moment of my personal style, and not being dictated by the pressures of various trends that swoop our daily digital space.

PS. I couldn’t help sharing with you this cockatoo invasion that happened in front of our house! One of the reasons why I love autumn in Warragul.

  2. Love this ootd lalo na iyong sporting hoodie since I'm a fan of hoodie talaga. Pwede pa lang ipares ito with blazers, and cute ng style and I agree na ang comfortable ng ganito. I've watched the Tiktok video and super ganda nga po nilang pagmasdan.

What makes me busy recently is school works since medyo ang daming kailangan ihabol since malapit na ang Holy Week vacation.

    1. Yes, it is a men's blazer! I love men's blazer coz they are made of good quality textile, and always overlooked in many op-shops. A great investment piece, lakas maka-yayamanin po.
