Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea announces ‘Disney Christmas 2023’ plus ticket hikes

Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea
As Disney celebrates its centennial anniversary this year, I couldn’t help but feel excited about my memories during our visit to Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea. It’s been more than four years but the memories are still intact.

My feet are truly itching for a new Disneyland trip (even though my husband hates the idea).
I will always be a kid at heart, and a huge fan of Disney. But not its wokeness version.

Disney is making sure to celebrate its centennial with a bang, and making sure that their fans will keep them excited, thus with so many brand collaborations and merch being released early this year.

And yet here I am, having successfully managed to keep my finances intact, by opting to upcycle Disney fashion pieces like when I made this Disney-inspired jumper ensemble, collected all the Disney ooshies turned them into a Christmas décor, and decorated my pants with these Disney fix-ems from Woolies.

While waiting for my new Japan visa to get approved, here are some of the few updates that we should know about visiting Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea.

Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea to increase ticket prices from October 2023

Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea

Like most of the world, Japan has been hit with inflation over the last couple of years. After seeing price hikes for food, clothing, and transport, many attractions in Japan are also starting to raise their ticket prices, including Tokyo Disney Resorts. So yes, expect a price increase for Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea tickets starting 1st October 2023.

For the first time in the park's 40-year history, an adult ticket will soon cost more than ¥10,000 after the price revision. The largest price jump is for an adult single-day ticket at peak times, which will go up by ¥1,500 to ¥10,900.
Tokyo Disney Resorts has announced a six-tier price system that will go into effect from October 2023. One-day adult tickets will cost between ¥7,900 to ¥10,900 depending on factors like crowds, day of the week, and holidays.

Here is a breakdown of the new prices for admissions from October 1:
Adult 1-day passport: ¥7,900-¥10,900
Junior 1-day passport (ages 12-17): ¥6,600-¥9,000

Current prices for admissions up until September 30:
Adult 1-day passport: ¥7,900-¥9,400
Junior 1-day passport (ages 12-17): ¥6,600-¥7,800

Prices for children between the ages of 4-11 will remain unchanged, with the one-day passport costing between ¥4,700 and ¥5,600.

You can check ticket prices for each day up to three months in advance on the Tokyo Disney Resort website

Disney Christmas 2023

Disney Christmas 2023

Even though we’ve barely begun the Halloween season, the holidays are just around the corner at Tokyo Disney Resort. The Oriental Land Company has announced details for Disney Christmas 2023, which will take place at both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea from 8th November to 25th December.

Disney Christmas 2023 will see the return of “Disney Christmas Stories,” a parade that portrays Christmas stories of Disney friends, featuring dancers and parade stops.

The parade is comprised of seven different stories, including one of Donald Duck dressed as Santa Claus as he spends the holiday with his nephews and Daisy Duck, a story of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse celebrating a special Christmas together, and more.

When the floats make their parade stops along the route between Westernland and Fantasyland at the Plaza, and between Tomorrowland and Toontown, bells will ring to start the party. Guests can join in by clapping along with their Disney friends to the sound of the bells. For the parade’s finale, snow will fall along the parade route.

A special holiday version of Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade Dreamlights will also be presented for a limited time.

At Tokyo DisneySea, guests can see the Disney Christmas Greeting, performing one to two times daily on the Mediterranean Harbor. During the greeting, Mickey Mouse and his friends will appear in Christmas-themed outfits and celebrate the holiday with festive music. Santa Claus will also make an appearance.

The Haunted Mansion Holiday Nightmare is also back for the Halloween and holiday seasons at Tokyo Disneyland and will be open through 8th January 2024.

Will there be a Disneyland Downunder?

Back in August, there was a rumor circulating around Downunder about the possibility of the next Disneyland. As much as we are very excited about the idea, I believe that Aussies are all ready to welcome this new attraction.

That also means more job and business opportunities for us!

Rumors said that it could be in Melbourne near the Avalon Airport, and I reckon that is indeed a good location. Residents living nearby will be so lucky, just pedaling away to the next happy place.
