To celebrate the 10th anniversary of LOEWE's most iconic creation, the Puzzle Bag, the brand is launching a reissue of 19 carefully selected designs from the past decade, along with one new design, as part of the LOEWE Puzzle 10 Collection.
This limited edition collection is a testament to Loewe's atelier in Spain and its unique playfulness. Each bag uses a variety of techniques, including appliqués, embroidery, cross-stitching and LOEWE's iconic leather marquetry. Some are decorated with pictorial motifs, others are inspired by the language of poetry, with a metal plaque and two balloon charms to commemorate the anniversary.
In addition to the 19 reeditions, a new design "confetti bag" is now available to celebrate 10 years of the bag, which has remained an icon of art and culture. Adorned with thousands of small pieces of leather and metal sequins, this joyful bag also has a unique cube-like structure, just like any other puzzle. The handcrafted puzzle bags are inspired by origami. The seemingly collapsible structure, created by skillful crafting, makes it a unique creation at Loewe. The puzzle bag, which debuted on the Spring/Summer 2015 women's runway after being unveiled in the previous men's collection, has been reimagined with a myriad of materials and designs, expanding into the puzzle bag series and accessories.
In addition, this collection will also include charms of a total of 20 mischievous characters "Paz" born from each puzzle bag.
The Puzzle 10 re-edition bag is housed in a special box with an anagram foil-stamped in gold and comes with an exclusive jigsaw puzzle inspired by each bag. In addition, a special edition LOEWE magazine will be published, tracing the evolution of the puzzle bag and the story of each re-edition. In the playful digital content that will be released at the same time, visitors will be able to learn about the history of the puzzles and interactively view the details of the collection through their smartphones.

Puzzle 10 Multicolor Re-Edition ¥721,600 |
By 2017, puzzle bags were already widely known for their bold and unique geometric shapes. The Spring/Summer 2017 Women's pre-collection showcases the iconic design in a patchwork of vibrant colours. The main colours of red, yellow, and blue contrast with bright oranges and vibrant purples, while the leather base and edging create a color block reminiscent of pop art. Puzzle 10 Paula Zui Biza Parrot Re-Edition JPY902,000 |
Once located in Ibiza's Old Town, the legendary boutique "Paulaz" was the center of a small but highly influential social, cultural, and stylistic revolution from 1972 to the early 2000s. Started by Armin Heinemann and Stuart Rudnick, this legendary boutique was known for its unique atmosphere and opulent, improvisational fashion shows, and embodied the island lifestyle of freedom, glitz, and fun.
In 2016, Loewe was invited by Heinemann and Rudnick to visit the archives. The following year, the first Paula Zui Visa collection was born. The puzzle bag featured in the 2017 capsule collection features a geometric combination of archival prints drawn by Heinemann to complement the bag's origami-like structure.

Puzzle 10 William Morris Re-Edition ¥902,000 |
This William Morris bag contrasts nature illustrations with punk décor. Morris's Arts and Crafts Movement quote: "Don't leave anything in your home that you don't think is useful or beautiful," resonates as much today as it did in the mid-19th century. His radical and rebellious spirit lives on at Loewe, and his influence can be seen in the architectural details and interiors of the store, as well as his commitment to craft and handicraft. This puzzle bag is also inspired by Morris, who is known for his nature-inspired prints and furniture. Prints of strawberry blossoms and hares (also available on hand-painted leather jackets) are combined with punk-like belts and studded shoulder flaps with silver eyelets reminiscent of biker jackets, and two seemingly contrasting movements, Arts and Crafts and punk, coexist.

Puzzle 10 Patchwork Re-Edition JPY902,000 |
In the large-sized puzzle bag from the Spring/Summer 2018 men's pre-collection, pieces of tactile and handiwork are encountered on the bag. Like a clothing travel diary, contrasting materials are pieced together in this puzzle. This patchwork, which seems to have been a collection of fragments encountered on several travels, has links to key items of clothing throughout.
Striped canvases, suede, and leathers of different textures are combined in a panel with contrasting expressions.

At the Spring/Summer 2018 Women's Runway Show, the puzzle bag was lavishly embroidered. The velvety, sleek suede is reminiscent of the green baze fabric of the poker table, creating a vivid contrast to the card motifs that unfold boldly from the front to the top of the bag.
In your hand, you'll see the King and Queen framed with elaborate embroidery and gold thread, as well as Loewe's "Ace of Spades". Other lucky motifs include two dice, a horseshoe, and a four-leaf clover.

Puzzle 10 Varsity Re-Edition JPY902,000 |
This puzzle bag was unveiled at the Fall/Winter 2018 men's pre-collection, and the inspiration was a high-top sneaker with a quirky curled toe that appeared on the women's runway just before. Crafted in emerald green suede and calf, this bag takes the charm of classic sports shoes in a playful reinterpretation. The two large front panels are threaded with thick flat string "shoelaces" that hang in the corners of the bottom of the bag without being tied. The contrasting stitching on the suede accentuates the graphical pattern. The decorative stitching in white thread and the varsity-style "L" patch in the corner of the bag further hint at the inspiration from the sport.

Puzzle 10 Polka Re-Edition ¥721,600 |
On the Loewe runway, there is a recurring experimentation with form and a challenging approach to silhouette. In contrast to this novelty, the Fall/Winter 2018 women's collection featured a playful and romantic polka dot. Presented in this collection, this puzzle bag features geometric polka dots. Each dot is drawn with the intarsia technique, resulting in a very sophisticated finish. The rounded dots provide a powerful contrast to the geometric puzzle forms, further accentuating the iconic structural aesthetic.

Puzzle 10 Macintosh Re-Edition ¥721,600 |
Among the buildings created by Scottish architect Charles Renee Mackintosh is an iconic early 20th-century architecture that blends Scottish Baronial architectural styles with elements of Japanese design. Like the pioneers of the Arts and Crafts movement, he worked in both design and architecture to create a harmonious space with a sense of unity. His work is characterized by bold, vertical lines and striking graphic motifs like roses.
Flowers are the main motif of this puzzle bag, which appeared in the Spring/Summer 2019 pre-collection. Tailored as a tribute to the world of his work, the bag features white and tan leather panels framed by thick black leather, mimicking the lead lines surrounding each part of the stained glass.

Puzzle 10 Cowboy Re-Edition JPY902,000 |
In the year of the opening of the first Casa Loewe in the United States, Puzzle Bag paid tribute to traditional American culture in its Fall/Winter 2019 pre-collection. Layers of white, black, and denim blue leather recall the abstract foliage and swirls typical of Western boots, while the contrast stitching on each panel accentuates the details. Cowboy culture has influenced a variety of subcultures and is now a staple of everyday life, but this puzzle bag pays homage to cowboy culture through its original context, through a play of scale and reconstruction through geometric forms.

Puzzle 10 Plumeria Re-Edition JPY902,000 |
Every year since 2015, LOEWE has presented an exhibition and capsule collection at the Milano Salone, one of the world's largest design and furniture trade fairs in Milan, reinterpreting traditional craft techniques from a new perspective. The project focuses on specific themes and techniques, and collaborates with artists and artisans from around the world.
The 2019 exhibit showcased quilts made in Hawaii by John Serrao, Sissy Serrao, and Patricia Goallangton, shedding light on the community that continues to uphold the craft today.
This puzzle bag was inspired by the bold and iconic motifs of Hawaiian quilts: flowers and plants are depicted in two contrasting colors. The motif of a plumeria with five petals is repeatedly emblazoned and blooms as if unleashed from the surface of the bag.

Puzzle 10 William de Morgan Re-Edition JPY902,000 |

They are painted with vibrant colors and delicate brushwork, bringing tiles and ceramics to life.
The Spring/Summer 2020 pre-collection, presented in 2019, featured a variety of items inspired by de Morgan's work. This puzzle bag is one of them, and it is decorated with his floral motifs.

Puzzle 10 Tartan Re-Edition JPY902,000 |
Textiles have played an important role in a number of puzzle bags prior to the Fall/Winter 2020 women's pre-collection, but in this piece, the full use of supple Scottish jacquard wool tartan is a new expression that brings softness to the four-sided silhouette.
The geometric panels are made up of checkered patterns, fringes, and leather piping, with reds, yellows, navy blues, khakis, and rusty orange accents. Each panel has a different look from the next panel, creating a contrast and eclectic impression.

Puzzle 10 Ken Price Re-Edition JPY902,000 |
Born in Los Angeles in 1935, Ken Price began his career as an artist amid the countercultural currents of the 1960s. He mainly used clay and became known for his organic forms of sculpture with multiple layers of acrylic paint. The surface of the work was sometimes marbled or decorated with multi-colored blocks. Price's work also has a practical aspect, like a household item. A total of 20 ceramic plates created for the Newport Beach restaurant La Palme in the 1980s were an important source of inspiration for the Spring/Summer 2021 pre-collection. In honor of Price, table mats and coasters have been developed, all of which use the intarsia technique.

Puzzle 10 Joe Brainard Re-Edition JPY721,600 |
American artist Joe Brainard was deeply associated with a community of artists and poets known as the New York School, who worked in the heart of Manhattan in the mid-20th century. Their activities ranged from abstract expressionism and action painting to improvisational theater and improvisational poetry.
In the 1960s, Brainard created an inventive assemblage using knick-knacks and flyers collected on street corners and sidewalks on the Lower East Side. In the Fall/Winter 2021 pre-collection, Brainard's motifs, words, and drawings were developed into clothing, accessories, and bags. One of his most famous works, the 1967 mixed-media collage Untitled (Pansies), is the inspiration for the collection's vibrant prints and jacquard weaves. Pansy flowers are a recurring motif in his work and are symbolically used in this limited edition puzzle bag.

Puzzle 10 Paula Zui Visa Kiwi Re-Edition ¥721,600 |
By 2021, the annual Paula Zui Visa collection had already evolved into a total collection of men's and women's clothing, bags, and accessories.
The playful motifs are inspired by the original Paula's archival prints and symbolize the free and cheerful spirit of the collection. In 2021, colorful and graphical tropical fruits were a source of inspiration. In this puzzle, a gradient of pure colors and green creates a flat representation of kiwifruit, accented by black seeds.

Puzzle 10 Pixel Re-Edition JPY721,600 |
The Spring/Summer 2023 Women's Runway Show explored nostalgic retro games and digital graphic representations, with magnified pixels creating glitch-like visual effects in the real world. The pattern of rectangles arranged along the seams of the puzzle blurs the boundaries between the real and the virtual as a visual metaphor. This bold design was endorsed by many people, including A$AP Rocky, and quickly became a hot topic.
In this puzzle, precision prints and carefully color-tuned gray, blue, and black "pixels" are placed on a futuristic, immaculate base, creating visual distortion in the geometric lines unique to the puzzle.

Puzzle 10 Confetti ¥902,000 |
Anniversaries come with celebrations. To celebrate Puzzle's 10th birthday, a surprise edition has been released, featuring thousands of handcrafted confetti across a leather bag.
This design is reminiscent of the Fall/Winter 2023 Women's Runway Show. The show featured Loewe's collaboration with Italian artist Lara Favarette on her new installation Midsommar. This was her largest work to date, consisting of 21 cubes with confetti weighing about 10 tons, which were installed throughout the venue. The installation was slowly eroded by the comings and goings of people, creating a shifting landscape.
Instead of paper confetti, this puzzle bag uses small pieces of round or diamond-shaped leather or laminated leather, colored in candy colours such as pastel blues and pinks, cream, fuchsia, and electric blue. Silver and aqua sequins are also added, all carefully handcrafted.
The LOEWE Puzzle 10 collection will go on sale in select stores on Thursday, May 29, 2025. In Japan, a pop-up will be held at the Matsuzakaya Nagoya store to celebrate the launch of the collection at Casa Loewe Omotesando for a limited time. Occupying 120 square meters, the pop-up at the Matsuzakaya Nagoya store has a design inspired by Casa Loewe. In the carpeted space, niches are created in the velvet walls, where the LOEWE Puzzle 10 collection is displayed like a tranquil jewel box. Playful images also welcome visitors.
