Going To Rome? You Might Think Twice in Staying at Grand Hermitage Hotel

Grand Hermitage Hotel in Rome, When in Rome
Blogger K.L. and her nightmare experience at Grand Hermitage Hotel in Rome

Nothing makes us feel in heaven than greeting us with a very nice and cozy bed during our tiring journey.

But this is not the case of one Houston-based blogger named K.L., a fashion and DIYer Blogger/Youtuber, and owner of the website, Secretlifeofabionerd.

Last week, she shared on your Facebook page her disaster bed-bug experience when she booked the accommodation at the Grand Hermitage Hotel in Rome, Italy. This hotel, according to Hotwire  (an online hotel and flights deals and booking site) the hotel is claiming to have a 4-star rating whereas K.L. said should be 2.5-star due to the bed-bugs and discomfort.

  1. This is horrible! Bed bugs are my worst nightmare! So far I've been incredibly lucky, even though I mostly stay in dorm rooms. But I always research different platforms to get true ratings.

    1. Yeah this is also my worst nightmare and I'm glad I haven't experienced it. For much high safety, I choose to book on known hotels.

  2. This is so sad to know. I mean a hotel with a four star rating providing this Level of service doesn't really makes sense to me. How do they even find. I am glad you took the liberty of writing about it m

  3. Eek! That's terrifying! I hate the idea of bed bugs! I actually got a hard shell suitcase because I heard it means if there are bed bugs, they come home with you via luggage but the hard shell helps prevents that.

  6. I have never experienced bed bugs during my travels but I do assume it's not pleasant and it can ruin your holiday. I guess the blogger should have taken it to the hotel's management also and find a solution, a different hotel maybe, complimentary.

  11. Ugh, bedbugs are a disaster. So unfortunate - once met a lady who told me the bedbugs came home with her and infested her entire house! She was terrified to sleep anywhere remotely dodgy after that and has passed on a bit of that fear to me!

  12. Yikes! Thankfully I've never experienced bedbugs, but I have stayed in some pretty crappy hotels in Southeast Asia. Sometimes for 7 bucks you really do get what you pay for.
