Hello! Hello! Heeeelllllloooooooooo!
How’s your loooooonng weekends? Have you enjoyed your out-of-town trips with your besties?
Maybe with your BAE, or with your family?
I hope you did, and enjoy every single moment – coz it is kind of RARE to have that opportunity.
That’s why when there's a long weekend coming up, you should never think twice about booking for your next destination!
It is nice to catch up with your good friends – not your work colleagues that you always hang out with after work (or even during weekends), but those people that you have invested your quality time with them.
I could say that I am lucky to meet new and interesting people on regular basis. I’ve got an opportunity to learn something new from them and establish good (business) relationships.
But most of the time – it’s all about business. Plain and simple.
And at the end of the day, I still enjoy catching up with my true friends outside my work circle, outside my blogging circle.
With them, I can be my laid-back self. Ohhh you will be entertained A LOT (just they always say).
These two ladies always say I am annoying (sometimes) before I am too honest, yet they like me!
Coz I am too honest for them, they save a lot of time wondering if I am telling them the truth or just faking it. Hahahaha.
But to tell you – it takes a lot of trials and errors before we reach this kind of closeness. Considering we came from different environments, with different views in life.
Anyway, I am lucky to have them.
It was one gloomy Sunday when we’re scheduled to meet up at Bonifacio Global City, to catch up on things, hear new gossips, etc., etc. I was wearing my black overall dress, paired it with my lack bootie and my usual brown jacket.
I actually forgot to bring my red umbrella!
But then I realized my umbrella might ruin my whole outfit!
So I bravely walk in the rain (thank God it wasn’t that hard) and stroll along the High Street, feeling like I’m somewhere touristic, coz I was the only gal bravely walking with an umbrella. Hahaha
This weather can’t kill my vibe!
I got this brown on-the-go bag from Forever21 and bought it using the gift cards I’ve been saving months back… Thank you to my credit card company for sending me gift cards! Talk about being FRUGAL BABE!
We were supposed to visit this art exhibit by Love Marie at Volkswagen Shop, but then when we arrive, we are horrified to know it was already close! The shop closes at 7PM but the exhibit closes at 5:00PM.
Why I didn’t realize that?
Okay, okay just calm…
So we decided to visit uptown and head to Uptown Mall, coz we rarely visit that place.
Why? Because it is quite far of our way, and there are much nearer malls that we regularly hang out.
But this time, we decided to change our route.
With my squad – Lexa and Shi!
We arrived at our destination at Uptown Mall. Nothing so much interesting so far, coz most of the stores are still under construction and some phases of the mall are not yet available for the public (sigh).
But then its concept is quite different to the other malls nearby, especially these two buildings in front of me which changes their lightings for every occasion.
I even asked Shi to capture this pic with me. Hahaha looks like I’m somewhere outside Manila (some might think I’m in HK!). Indeed great lights give your photos a huge difference!
Girls need to eat too!
So when we felt our hungry tummy, we head to Texas Roadhouse. I’m not a fan of Texas meat (or anything meat) but this place has a nice ambiance and is not too crowded that night, so we decided to get our table.
I let these two decided which we going to order. I trust whatever they pick coz they are both meat-eaters, and for that night I loosen up and said YES for whatever they will get.
Anyway, Shi said they have quite a huge servings so better if we share for it. Which sounds good to me.
This is my first time to dine at Texas Roadhouse and here are their menus.
Oh, steak and burgers! My boyfriend will surely like this place because of its homey atmosphere and the food. He’s a big steak and burger eater. We are the opposite, hahaha.
I just noticed while browsing and looking around, that Texas Roadhouse is another restaurant under the Bistro Group. So basically Texas Roadhouse is a sister restaurant of Italiannis, TGIFridays, Buffalo Wingstops, Village Tavern, and others. I am actually impressed coz, as far as I know, this restaurant group is the only entity that can get franchises of western restaurants (usual restaurants from the US).
So we ordered a roasted chicken and braised spare ribs, with rice and veggies on the side (thank God!) For prices see the menu attached.
While having our dinner, talking, basically multitasking – we also enjoyed the band, listening o the throwback 90s song (which yes, I forgot the titles but familiar with the tunes).
After our dinner, we partake in our DRINK! We don’t plan to just drunk so we just ordered margaritas and sangria for me!
Raspberry and Peach Margarita, and Sangria (for prices see the menus)
We have a great time catching up and enjoying taking our night-out photos.
Whatever we’ve talked about – well, I won’t share it with you (my apologies!).
But one thing that we would like to share is how much we enjoy each other’s company, and also dining here at a Texas Roadhouse. We give them a 4/5 rate for their good food and good service!
Oh, by the way, we are seated outside, so here are some photos inside the restaurant:
The décor looks fun and sporty, so you can bring your boyfriend, or your father here coz they will surely like it. They also have their own comfort room, one for females and one for males, so don’t worry about getting a pee.
If you come here solo, it is a night to hang out in the bar area, and enjoy the latest sports game! We never know, this might also be your chance to meet your new sporty BAE, right?
Texas Roadhouse is also a family-friendly restaurant – so you can bring your whole pack in here.
Hey since this is my first time dining here, I ask Shi for my obligatory picture to complete my whole experience at Texas Roadhouse. Good thing I’m wearing my bootie! Yee haw!
Are we going back and dine again at Texas Roadhouse?
Definitely YES!
You should try it too and enjoy the rodeo food experience. One thing that is missing is the hippie rodeo cowboy ride, hahaha
Texas Roadhouse, you should install that cowboy ride!!!
I love being with my friends!
Until next time…
xoxo, Blair

DeleteOMG the food at Texas Roadhouse looks sooo good! I didn't know they are under the same company as TGIF!
ReplyDeleteHello Alvin,
DeleteAlso they are delicious!
Oh the franchised owner of Texas Roadshow here in the Philippines is also the owner of the franchised TGIF. They are successfully operated here in Asia, and have branches in Bangkok, hopefully soon in SEA. :)
Idk its the same or not, but here in Malaysia we also have Texas Chicken, which is like KFC. But see the menu, I don't think its the same. haha
ReplyDeleteHahaha oh maybe its also a franchised from US. We don't know :) Well, as long as both of their chicken are delicioso then its okay :)
DeleteLooked like a really fun experience. Glad you had a great time with your friends and cheers to sharing it with us :)
ReplyDeleteThanks babe! And keep on browsing my blog :)
DeleteNice ootd. I wish i could have a chance to try the food.
