Wedding is one of the most important occasions in our lives. And in some countries particularly here in Asia, weddings are not only a celebration of two people in love and ready to live and built new lives together – but it is also the union of two families, and planning for the brighter future of their next generations. No wonder it is an important event.
Families are spending thousands to billions for this celebration, making sure everything is on top-most perfection. From the prenup souvenir photos and choosing the best locations to your dresses and your entourage, your best bridal cake (maybe a huge one or two?), the rings, the honeymoon location, etc., etc.
It’s crazy! But everything is important.
But don’t you know that picking the best and right date to get married is also important?
In Asia, picking the right and luckiest date is important. You don’t just pick a date because you want it, or just because that is the only available schedule of your favorite church.
Based on this year’s feng shui reading, I’ve picked up the luckiest date to get married, thanks to our reliable Feng Shui Master Marites Allen. These dates are the luckiest season to tie a knot, which means a good and happy marriage life.
When are the LUCKY dates to get married?
So read along, pick up your calendar, and set aside your wedding catalog.

Ugh. I wish I was getting married this year. My number didn’t show up for my month...so maybe it’s good I’m not getting married!
ReplyDeleteHahaha yeah, let's wait the next year's feng shui reading if your number is a lucky one.
DeleteIt is always interesting to read about customs from around the world. I wonder - are the dates lucky for everything or just weddings?
ReplyDeleteThese dates are just for weddings.
DeleteI am not getting married any time soon but I love that you provided this info. I will definitely be passing this on to a few of my friends who are planning their weddings
ReplyDeleteThanks dear! Maybe yours will come soon.
DeleteWow - I hadn't considered the date that much when I got married. So interesting that there are so many things to factor in when you choose dates :)
ReplyDeleteYeah. Here in Asia, particularly in Chinese family, planning of wedding is a serious stuff, including the choice of wedding date. Even the tiny areas are important.
DeleteHow interesting! We just got married whenever it worked for us. It looks like our wedding date, December 10th, isn't up there. Oops!
ReplyDeleteEvery year the feng shui prediction changes.
DeleteMy husband and I were married on August 16 and I think it was the luckiest day that year! I actually pegged the day we would get married years before!

DeleteThe wedding dates in India are chosen with a lot of care taking into account the horoscopes of the bride and the groom, and auspiciousness of the day as per the almanac. Loved the pics that you shared.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Same with Chinese weddings. And I am also applying this principle to myself. It is well to be prepared and plan everything, right?!

ReplyDeleteFor Chinese and Indian weddings, choosing the lucky dates is very crucial and important. It is our custom that works all the time.
DeleteOh goodness! Now this is kinda funny...I never knew about there being unlucky days of getting married since I hardly see anyone thinking about that. Guess I'll be on the lookout when my time comes. I mean, who would want bad luck befalling on hem on such an important day?
ReplyDeleteThat is true. But each year as the moon changes its direction, the lucky and unlucky dates also change.
DeleteWow I didnt know there were lucky and unlucky days to get married. As long as no one gets married on a Friday the 13th!
ReplyDeleteLOL that is funny. But if Friday the 13th falls as a lucky date during that year according to feng shui, then still many will get married.
DeleteOh my goodness, Blair! Where were you when I was selecting dates for my wedding 12 years ago? ☺️ thanks for doing the legwork and making it plain and simple for those to be waited. You are awesome! 💕 xo, Evelyn, PathofPresence.com 🦋
ReplyDeleteHahaha 12-years ago? Am still a college student and trying to look cute :D
DeleteGreat post for soon to be married couples. As a Filipino, we are really superstitious especially on dates. Good thing my birthday is not an unlucky date. haha!
ReplyDeleteHahaha that is awesome Emmanuel!
