Welcome to SOVEREIGN ISLANDS, the ultra-rich community at Paradise Point, Queensland

SOVEREIGN ISLANDS, the ultra-rich community at Paradise Point, Queensland

During our recent Queensland trip, we decided to drive along with the most exclusive and super expensive neighborhood of Paradise Point, Goldcoast, Queensland.

Sovereign Islands are six interconnected islands located toward the northern end of the Southport Broadwater. The island group is connected to the mainland part of Paradise Point by the bridge. The islands are protected from the Pacific Ocean by South Stradbroke Island which lies to the east.

It is a unique, prestigious large-scale Lewis Land Corporation residential development, situated in the Southport Broadwater precinct comprising 6 interconnected islands providing deep-water frontage allotments with uninhibited access to the Gold Coast Seaway.

Created from sand islands and additional special lease reclamation of 1.4 million cubic meters dredged from surrounding navigation channels, The Sovereign Islands became the first water frontage housing development in Australia to offer wall-to-wall water capable of floating luxury yachts and powerboats at all stages of the tide.

The streets are lined with palm trees and ornate street lights and the roads are paved in brick. Residents sleep easy thanks to 24/7 security, which extends to friendly security guards who will let you know if you’ve left your garage door ajar.

When the residents pay a gate levy fee of approximately $2600 per annum for security and parks, you will definitely expect a high-quality standard of security.

In this gated community in Paradise Point, nearly every property has deep water frontage and an outlook worthy of the multimillion-dollar price tags.

To the south, residents have uninterrupted views of the Surfers Paradise skyline and to the east, magnificent views over South Stradbroke Island, which also provides a buffer from weather extremes.
Home to politicians, bankers, celebrities, and international business tycoons, Sovereign Islands is affectionately known as a “millionaire’s playground” and, with vacant lots yet to be developed, there’s still room for newcomers keen to build their very own mega-mansion.

The Sovereign Islands is an unparalleled and prestigious development offering all residents an affluent and gated community experience. There are 6 exclusive Island Precincts that are only accessible by a bridge from Paradise Point to The Sovereign Island Gateway. Majestic Canary Palms line your pathway to each of the Islands.

This Island journey is home to some of the finest architecturally designed homes with fabulously embellished living alfresco, areas to breathe in the views of the Broadwater or the expansive canals. The rippling water often heralds the arrival of dolphins and their young, searching for morsels of food or a training matinee for somersaults and playful cavorting.

Sovereign Islands is a residential enclave, shops and attractions are accessed upon leaving your palatial residence. However, expansive parks are ideal for your family to run or stroll and breathe in the crisp salt air and allow you to drift between the many sensory perceptions from the exotic wafting of jasmine to salt taking you on a journey of peace and relaxation. Park Benches allow these moments to linger in your memory.

The opportunities abound with walks to the board-walk eateries and restaurants of Paradise Point or just stroll along the promenade.

The Sovereign Islands is 63 kilometers from Brisbane CBD or 56.3 kilometers from Gold Coast International Airport at Coolangatta. Mega Stores situated within 20 kilometers at Pacific Fair and Robina, allow the international flavor of boutique shopping and a dining destination.

  1. What a luxurious neighborhood! When will I ever have the chance to live in one? Haha. Reading your blog post and looking at your photos remind me of the TV series that was popular back in the day: Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.

    1. My hubby said that we don't need to own one just to experience it. We will just rent an Airbnb next to the island :D
Just imagine the great expenditure costs of maintaining these multi-million properties?!

  2. First things first. I'm super glad that some of these properties are available on Airbnb. It would be awesome to be able to experience this luxury for 1 night at least, since affording them otherwise is just out of question. These islands remind me much of Palm Islands of Dubai. The concept is kinda similar.

  4. Wow it looks so beautiful! Sovereign islands reminds us of the vibes in the South of France. Those boats and high end houses look really wonderful. It also kind of looks like San Francisco bay in a way.

  5. I guess it would be good to rent on out on Airbnb for a while, but then you might not want to leave. Could have an awkward situation where you've barricaded yourself in because its just so luxurious.

  7. Sovereign Islands really look stunning and never knew about it. I have been to Australia but never to Queensland region, but now I have to plan for this when tourism opens there. Good to know they are 6 islands and that too interconnected by bridges pathways. Wow so many luxury homes besides water with their own luxury yacht and it really looks like luxurious staying here.

  8. Wow this looks absolutely gorgeous. Love the calm around the place. The boats, the water are good enough for me, if nothing more. Love to though stay for a night at least at those luxurious residences.
