6 Reasons Why Blogging is Fabulous in 2021
Who would have thought that this year, I am celebrating my 11th year of blogging?!

Each time I reflect, I couldn’t help smiling that for many years, here I am still blogging and sharing many stories online, and the most important part of it – I am loving this job!

I love it so much that I quit my stressful corporate job at a prestigious auditing and consulting firm, so I could focus more on producing content, and enjoy my life even better.

I started blogging in 2010 in the Philippines as my distraction while working in a 9-to-5 office job, and it became my outlet to express my inner ‘world traveler’ who loves many fine things in life including fashion.

Started from scratch, and I worked my way up to this blogging industry, which opened a lot of opportunities, meet many friends, and even personally met the people I’ve been idolizing when I was just a normal kid back then.

I still remember 5-years ago when one of my blogger acquaintances in Manila told us over lunch that blogging will soon be over and become obsolete. However, I never believe nor agree with her so-called prediction, as I strongly believe that blogging will stay forever, but hence, it will produce more avenues making the content creations even more exciting.

Years have past and here I am in Australia, enjoying my passion and my writing skills and content creation continuously evolving, and I love it!

From writing some musings, documenting my DIY projects, sharing my upcycling fashion hacks, and travel experiences online, and enjoying the fruit of my labor, I wouldn’t think that I will stop blogging.

6 Reasons Why Blogging is Fabulous in 2021

With so many social platforms online, why it is blogging will surely stay and still be fabulous as ever.

1.Blogging is a great way to practice your writing skills and story-telling skills.
Don’t worry about the idea of ‘no one will read your blog’ coz that is not true. Every individual has its own way of telling their stories, different techniques of expressing your thoughts, and there are always people out there who will resonate with your thoughts.

2.There are so many things that are happening around us, and most people use computers and smartphones most of the time, and this is a great opportunity for you as a beginner to seize that moment. You can write about the niche topic you are interested in such as anime, K-drama movies, climate change, and sustainability, or even about your cats.

Yup, cats always dominate the internet, everyone loves cats even those who (seems) to hate it.

3.More opportunities keep on coming and it is unlimited. Blogging opened so many doors for me, which leads me to the lifestyle I am currently enjoying. When you perfectly crafted your blogging skills, brands and many PR agencies will start DM-ing you for opportunities and collaborations. It starts with a simple product seeding, reviews, and social media post, but the most important part is that ‘you are now on the PR list’.

4.Blogs are always a good source of information. Many news agencies and even school papers use blogs as their sources, so never underestimate blogging. It is powerful than you’ve thought.

5.Big brands still believe in collaborating with bloggers, because blogging is more sustainable than other social media platforms. I personally have several social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and monetize my content on Youtube, and Tiktok and I use these platforms as branches to reach my other audiences and readership and directing them all to my main blog website.

6.You have a voice, and it needs to be heard.

Blogging gives me happiness, a good passive income, and a healthier lifestyle with no stress and I don’t think I will ever give up my passion for content creation.

And I believe you can do it, too!
