I Stayed at iSanook Bangkok – and it has an Outdoor Pool, and Jacuzzi

It has been more than 2-years since my last visit to Bangkok, Thailand with my dearest friend Emily (but she’s not from Paris). If only we are not stuck in this pandemic, we probably hitting Bangkok once again and explore beautiful places, including temples and festivals and discover what it is to be in Thailand.

I was browsing my hard drive for my Thailand Travel footage and reminiscing the fun memories with my bestie before I gained a few COVID-kilos (thank you, Down-Under!)

There are so many things I miss about Bangkok. The foods are amazing, the local people are always patient with others even I can’t speak Thai, the crazy but exciting busy streets, and of course, Bangkok’s utmost hospitality.

In today’s blog, I would like to share my staycation experience at iSanook Bangkok.

You’ll easily recognize the iSanook building with its vibrant citrus color, but don’t feel intimidated by those spaghetti lines that (almost) blocks the view. It is just uniquely Bangkok, that’s all.

Situated in Bangkok, in the Bang Rak district known to some of the swankiest hotels in the city, and much of known about the Chao Phraya River, where one can still experience why Bangkok was known as the Venice of the East, with plenty of fine dining and romantic spots to spend lazy time watching the sunset and river meander by. Bang Rak district is the trendiest district to enjoy dining, shopping, clubbing, and amazing relaxation.

The Lobby

iSanook Bangkok Staycation Review
Just like many hotels that cater to young travelers, iSanook Bangkok is one of the impressive accommodations I’ve been in the city. I still remember how cheerful and accommodation their hotel staff and receptionists. The lobby has a comfortable lounge where you can enjoy reading some of their selection books, and/or you can do your work using their co-working space.

The mosaic tiles in the bathroom remind me of the sunset near the river. It looks very appealing.

Although this room doesn’t have a 5-star view, you can enjoy its unique beauty at nighttime, and probably a chance to say ‘hello’ and meet a new friend right across the little balcony.

Our most favorite facility is the jacuzzi located on the top floor of the building. It is perfect for private conversation, and more peaceful.

The lap pool is incredibly gorgeous especially at night, no wonder it is one of the most favorite facilities of many guests of the hotel.

Restaurant and café

If you are just new in the city and you want to play safe with the food options, iSanook Bangkok has a restaurant found on the 6th floor.

The foods are marvelous, and the services are totally impressive. During a really good day, you can opt for your breakfast outdoors and enjoy the view of the Bang Rak, while sipping your favorite cappuccino. The restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, including afternoon tea snacks.

If you’re feeling lazy to go out for a party, you can enjoy your favorite margarita and chill listening to relaxing sounds.

The café is one of my favorite spots in the hotel. We had a good small breakfast before our planned visit to the Grand Palace. This café is very conducive for those who want to mix breakfast and remote work, as there are available WIFI access and a comfortable table to do that matter.

iSanook Bangkok Staycation Review
Overall, we had an enjoyable stay with iSanook Bangkok, and I wouldn’t mind staying with them when I got another opportunity to visit the city. There are so many places I would like to visit around Bang Rak district and surrounds, and I do hope soon that all international restrictions will be lifted so we can enjoy travel freely and safely.
