Would you believe that these three dresses come from one queen-sized duvet?! (blog here

Oh, what a year 2021 has been!

While it has been our second year of traversing our way through the new normal, along with so many ups and downs, and still keep on moving forward to a brighter day.

Speaking of a brighter day, it has been more than a week of straight hot summer days here in Australia, and as much as I love the summer, the temperature is too much to handle. Most of the time I’ve been staying indoors, avoiding the scorching heat, even my two Siamese cats are not happy about it.

I haven’t made my year-ending post since I’ve been mostly occupied by a lot of things recently, however, I realized that it would be nice to make a recap post of all the dresses that I made last year (actually, not everything just a few pieces that I’ve documented here).

Since I moved here to Victoria, I found myself enjoying designing and making my own clothes out-of-scratch upcycling and I love it!

The satisfaction it gives me each time I finished my work is truly… orgasmic! LOL.

It has been another year in fashion, and I can’t wait to see what 2022 has in store. Wishing you all much laughter, full of love, good health, and prosperity!

I made this to commemorate the opening of the Gossip Girl reboot, inspiring Audrey Hope’s style. Don’t ask my thoughts about the reboot coz I wish the reboot didn’t exist at all. (blog here)

One of the dresses that I made used an old duvet. Although recently, I’ve been thinking of adjusting its length and turning it into a midi length (blog here).

Another old duvet upcycling. Don’t worry we got a better-quality duvet. These old duvets don’t fit anymore into our new bed size. (blog here)

I still have more than 20-pieces that I haven’t shared in my blog, however, I’ll include them in my year 2022 sustainable fashion outfit story. There is no sign of stopping in making fashionable sustainable pieces that I will cherish more.

  5. I love how playful you are when you create these outfits. They look so much fun and you look like you're having so much fun, too! What's your plan with these creations? Are you aiming to have a fashion show one day? Are you selling them? Really, I'm curious since I've read plenty of your blogs already on the dresses you've made.

    1. Hi May!

I enjoyed making clothes for myself, and although there are many of my friends telling me to sell my creations and create my own clothing brand, I feel that I am not ready for that kind of commitment. The competition is very tough and cut-throat in fashion, and I rather enjoy sharing my ideas to the world, and treasure my pieces right in my closet.

I just want to encourage many people to try upcycling and save the clothes you love, coz it is very helpful to minimize the built-up of waste.
