Yeah, and I'm not kidding.
There is a Durian (or Musang King) Make-Up Collection!
This Malaysian beauty brand Elianto recently launch its Durian Make-up collection in celebration of the "King of Fruits".
Most of us know how pungent the smell of durian is, and there are even condos, hotels and taxis who are not allowing this fruit bringing inside. But let's admit it, the pungent smell is sometimes intimidating, buy the yumminess of this fruit is heavenly.
Its like experiencing the yin and yang, lol
Anyway, here are Musang King (Durian) Make-up Collection.
This collection is now available via Lazada and Watsons in Malaysia.
To be fair, this concept is totally unique and very local. If we can include other fruits in our beauty products, then why not DURIAN, right?
You may also watch the video review by Shu An here.
Have you tried eating the durian? What is your take about this durian makeup?

ReplyDeleteThanks dear! I won't wonder if soon there is a nasi lemak make-up collection hehehehe
DeleteWhat IS a durian? is it that spiky fruit in some of the pictures? I have never heard of either the fruit or the makeup. What does adding it do to the makeup? Intriguing!
ReplyDeleteYeah, it does look like a jackfruit with spikes, but have a foul smell. It is considered the King of Fruit here in Asia!
DeleteI've only had durian once. I was expecting it to taste amazing, but it was just okay. I'm not sure I'd want it in my makeup, unless it has incredible benefits.
ReplyDeleteI am soo curious though!
DeleteI have never tried this fruit. It does sound like a tasty delicious fruit.
ReplyDeleteIt does tasty and meaty, just ignore the pungent scent.
DeleteWow... I love durian as a fruit but I never tired this durian makeup... This is absolutely amazing, really want to try it out...
ReplyDeleteIt's available in Watsons and Lazada Malaysia.

ReplyDeleteThanks Gemille for visiting!
DeleteNot only have I never tried Durian fruit I have never even heard of the fruit, although, I've never been anywhere near Malaysia. I like the look of it above so I'd have to say I'd at least give the Durian Make-up a tryout.
ReplyDeleteOh you should try eating durian first!
DeleteI have never heard of this brand before. I would try it out though! I'm always looking to try new products.
ReplyDeleteI guess Asian beauty brands are becoming more experimental with foods and make-ups.
DeleteI LOVE Durian! They are my go to brand always!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! You'll gonna love this durian make-up then :D
DeleteI just knew it from you. What are the product benefits?
ReplyDeleteI think same with other make-up, but it is has a durian extract.
DeleteIt sounds like such an interesting collection. The packaging is beautiful and the products look great. Love it when new cosmetics are released
ReplyDeleteI agree and it's Made in Malaysia!
DeleteI haven't heard of the fruit! I'm so curious about it now!
ReplyDeleteThis is one intriguing fruit that many loves it and many hates it because of pungent scent.
DeleteThe packaging is oh so cute! And I haven't tried it before. It sounds like one I need to add to my list of ones to test out! :) ~ JL
ReplyDeleteYou should try the durian lipstick!
DeleteThis is very interesting, and actually my first time to hear about durian make up. I just wonder if the durian smell is still there because they have a really strong smell which I am honestly not fond of. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYou may watch Singaporean celeb Shu An's review via youtube!
DeleteThis looks incredibly interesting and stylish. I love the color palette. So beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYellow is stunning especially this summer season.
DeleteI have yet to try to eat durian fruit but I love eating durian candies.
ReplyDeleteThen you must try the pure durian fruit! Its delicious and meaty :D
DeleteI have tried eating Durian first as a candy, then I tried the fruit. Well they both taste good. But I could say that I can tolerate the candy variant more than the fresh one. lol. And so, I wonder how these cosmetics smell like. But it's great that Durian is more than just a stinky fruit. Sorry for the word, but it really is. Lol
ReplyDeleteHahaha yeah it is stinky and it is normal. If its not stinky, then its not durian :D
DeleteWOW! we have seen durian chocolates, coffee, ice creams and what not during out travels in Thailand and Malaysia. But cosmetics. Too cool. There is always something new to learn.
ReplyDeleteI agree! And it is awesome that many locals are becoming creative to discover more use of durian. Next stop, durian skincare!
DeleteLooks like it would be a good new make up to try! thanks for sharing your review!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome Novel!
Deletedurian make-up? sounded like a funny name for a make-up. But durian is one of the most delicious fruit i ever tasted, just dont know how it is in make-up.
ReplyDeleteHahaha I know right! But they are impressive to use durian in makeup
DeleteI have not come across the Durian range before but it’s always nice to discover new products and brands
ReplyDeleteI agree. If we can use other fruit extracts and added to our beauty and make-up, why not this durian?
DeleteThis is actually the first time I've heard of Durian makeup. Very interested to check them out.
ReplyDeleteYeah that's true! Its quite sad that here in the Philippines, durian is not so famous compared to Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia.
DeleteI have never heard of this brand of makeup! Love the packaging though, so sleek!
ReplyDeleteYeah I think this is a new beauty brand.
DeleteI've never eaten durian before, and definitely not used durian make up! I would be interested to try it, for sure x
ReplyDeleteYeah, its crazy how they make durian very useful!
DeleteWhat a cool post! I don't think I've tried durian products. When shopping for make-up, I don't really look at the brand, I just look for the "not tested on animals" sticker. These products seems interesting!! Thanks for sharing! :)
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome Michelle! Many of beauty brands in Malaysia are halal-certified.
DeleteI only know (I think?) about this because of Mikey Bustos, but isn't this the fruit that stinks?
ReplyDeleteYes it is!
DeleteI haven't heard about it but this looks like a good makeup brand. It is having cute packaging.
ReplyDeleteThank you Nidhi :D
DeleteI've honestly never even heard of durian so I appreciate you sharing. My skin is super sensitive so I'm always worried about that but I'll need to give it a try.
ReplyDeleteWhat is you favorite fruit that's been included in your latest make-up?
DeleteI have never heard of this makeup before but it looks like it would be awesome. So many beautiful things to choose from.
ReplyDeleteI would like to try the durian eyeshadow. I think it could be use as highlighter as well.
DeleteI have never actually smelt durian, but I have been warned about it, LOL! I had no idea they were making make-up with it!
ReplyDeleteI know right?! Its crazy but an awesome idea! Next stop, durian skincare :D
DeleteThese look like a great collection. I like the simple but effective packaging and the products look great.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting Elizabeth!
